History of Cooper Black.
It started in 1919 after world war 1 had just finished. The reason why it's so popular is because of how versatile it is, it goes with everything. In 1918 he design a typeface called cooper, It took a classic roman font and soften the edges making it appear a lot more friendly. During the height of metal type era Cooper Black became one of the best-selling typefaces in America. It was used in newspaper headlines and large scale posters, it was pretty much used on everything. Cooper Black’s popularity died in the early 1940s, along with its creator, but gained a resurgence two decades later due to the aesthetic of the Pop Art movement. Its contours are warm and friendly both strong and soft making it an extremely flexible font. In 1966 The Beach Boys released Pet Sounds featuring Cooper Black on the dust jacket, and launched the typeface into the cultural spotlight. Now in the 21st century with shows like Everybody Hates Chris, Louie, and Dear White People still use Cooper black.
Examples of cooper black

This is what cooper black font looks like.

This the beach boys pet sound album that was released in 1966. This was the point of the cooper black resurgence during the pop art era and become a stable of pop culture.

This is the album cover of goblin by Tyler The Creator. He use's cooper black as the font for his album name.
After Effects Logo

The first thing I did was download Png images from google and drag it on after effects. The images I chose were: Coca cola, Fanta, New balance, Nike and Apple. I Then sized them all to it each other.

The next thing I did was invert my nike sign to white because it was on a black background.

I then selected all my logos by clicking on "command A" and I cut it by using "command D".

After that i clicked on "Ctrl" left click, keyframe assistant and then sequence. The sequence time I did was 5 seconds, all this does is just space them out 5 seconds each.

This one of the effects that I'll be using its called "3D glasses". Like the name suggest it just gives of the 3d effect and is what I'll be using to polish my glitch

This is the other effect I'll be using it's called "VR glitch" This is what will give it that glitchy effect to my logos.

I then added all the keyframes to all my logos to animate it.

Ofcom Essay
Ofcom is the British communications regulator. It is an independent statutory authority that regulates the television, radio, fixed-line telecommunications, and wireless communications industries in the United Kingdom. The company was created in 2002, Ofcom is responsible for issuing licenses to broadcasters, ensuring that television and radio programs adhere to certain standards, and investigating complaints from members of the public.
Ofcom is funded through a combination of fees paid by the companies it regulates and government grants. The fees are used to cover the costs of Ofcom's regulatory activities, such as issuing licenses and enforcing rules, while the government grants are used to fund research and other activities that support Ofcom's objectives. Ofcom has a range of legal powers that enable, These powers are granted to Ofcom through various pieces of legislation, including the Communications Act 2003 and the Wireless Telegraphy Act 2006.
They have the power to: Issue, renew, and revoke licenses for broadcasters and telecoms companies. Set standards for the content of television and radio programs, they also have the power to Investigate complaints from members of the public about breaches of broadcasting. They can conduct research and collect data on the communications industries in the UK.

One example of when Ofcom used its powers was in 2008, when it fined the broadcasters ITV for £5.68 million for misleading viewers during a episode of the popular game show "Ant and Dec Saturday night takeaway" Ofcom investigated the matter after receiving thousands of complaints from members of the public, and found that ITV had breached the outcome of the show by specifically selecting contestants and not giving away the prizes. This case demonstrates how Ofcom can use its powers to enforce compliance with broadcasting regulations and protect the interests of consumers. In this instance, Ofcom's investigation and subsequent punishment of ITV served to hold the broadcaster accountable for its actions, and to warn other broadcasters from engaging in similar practices in the future. ( evidence: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2008/may/08/itv)

Ofcom collects and publishes a wide range of data and research on the communications sector, including information on television, radio, telecommunications, and wireless communications. Ofcom's research can provide insights into emerging trends in the radio industry, this can help a radio company stay Intune with what is hip and new, and Lastly Ofcom data can help stay in loop with changing rules.

This some of the codes for Ofcom:
-
Protecting the under 18s
-
Harm and offence
-
Crime, disorder hatred and abuse
-
Religion
-

-
Privacy

The Advertising Standards Authority also known as ASA are a self regulated organisation that oversees the advertising industry in the UK. The ASA ensures that all advertising is legal, honest and truthful, they regulate all forms of advertising from television and radio ads to online and print advertisement.
Like Ofcom they respond to concerns and complaints from the consumers and businesses and take action by banning the ad. Unlike Ofcom, ASA is a self regulating organisation they do not have the legal power to place fines and thing of that nature. what they can do is investigate and rule on complaints about specific advertisements, and can require that the ads be changed or even be taken down if it doesn't meet their code of conduct.

One example of when ASA used its power was in 2019, when kfc had it's "What the cluck" campaign people didn't take a liking to this as thought it was offensive and imping something else. So the public complained and asa made investigation and banned the campaign.

Week 1

For the first week it was very rowdy and untidy as we stated off late, unorganised and we winged it, truthfully. the Clock Chart roughly explain our radio show and what it consisted of.
Week 2

The second week was better than the first but i was still rough around the edges as it also did not last the entire hour.
Week 3

This is week 3, this when thing started to look better for us we hit the hour mark and we spoke a lot.
Week 4

This Week we was the smoothest that we ever had during all recordings.
Week 5

For the grand Christmas special we spoke about our long anticipated D.B Coper special. the chart is also more accurate than ever but also shortened. from one perspective it is sad and slightly unprofessional however we chose to hold a part 2 as we could not wrap-up everything within one single part so the other hand i would say its better.

The second part was the wrap-up with our Christmas Special which was more of a personal opinionated show however we also did a update on the world cup as the final is played Sunday night (18.12.22) but we also switched up our usual ending by playing a song throughout the last eight minutes and also fading out our voices with our Farewells and the music fading in which fit the theme of the world cup fina
Adobe Ilustrator- Intro

When I opened AI the first thing I did was make a background for the logo I'm going to make.

Here is the circle.

The next thing I did was use the pencil tool draw something in each section.

The next thing I did was use the circle tool start my logo.

I clicked on line segments to make the logo. I also change the colour of the circle to black

The next thing i did was draw something in those boxes.
Illustrator in 5mins

This is the star tool. I did this by using the up and down arrow on my keyboard

If you click on A you can click on the direct Selection tool. which manipulates any point of the star. You can also use the lasso tool make specif points by clicking on it and pressing Q.

You can also use the pen tool by just clicking on it and just Make a shape. I can also use direct slection to manipulate any of these points.
My logo

The first thing I did was make a big background for my logo. I then made two circles using the eclipse tool one big and one smaller one.

The next thing I did was go on google and search for the Speaking emoji. The reason for this was becasue I wanted to head to be in middle of the smaller circle.

I didnt know how to cut out the image so, the next thing I did was Trace the emoji out line and deleted the image.

The emoji looked plain so, I went on object, then live bucket and pressed K and I chose the blu colour. I also put three outlines to make it look better.

Filled the outer circle of the image black.

The next thing I did was come up with a name. I came up the name "speak peak" I initially thought it was a good name. I then as if it didn't roll of the tongue well. So I changed it to "Speak easy the radio talk show". I felt as if that was much more cooler and easier to remember.
Final outcoome.

Christmas Edition
I wanted to make the christmas edition Logo for my radio station. Making a christmas themed logo this is what I did.

I did some research on the christmas and what colour I should use on my logo.

The first thing I did was change the font from orange to red for the festive season.

I then changed the background to green to make it more festive.

The next thing I did was add a santa hat. I did by downloading the image from google, taking it to photoshop and finaly adding it to AI.

The next thing I did was add Christmas lights to my logo
The Christmas edition

Idents
Film 4

Film 4 has very creative Ident as each one is different from one another. I think they did this to represent the diversity of movie selection they have on the channel. For Example during the middle of the day you might have an old movie from the 60s or an-old anime movie from the 90s and during late at night you'll have the blockbuster movie and late-late at night you'll the 18+ horror movies.

this could be a give a way because of the music they play. They music choice is is fixed, its a bell sound and every time the screen scrolls its gets faster and faster and at the end its plays a specific little tune. In this image you can see it i in the middle of the desert with an american cop car. The tune that it plays is a iconic wild west melody.

In their 10 second of screen time you can see the ident doing this scrolling effect. The ident doesn't necessarily want you to focus on the channel name but its surrounding, this image makes you focus on the long hallway and the doors. This would be played at the start of the movie to give a reset. Its almost as if each ident has its own genre.
This is video of film 4's idents.
A24

This the ident for A24 film production company. This company has the same logo but they have it in different scenario for each of the movie in specific scene.

This the A24 Ident, but it's different from their other idents because it represents the movie. This movie is called Mid90s, it a skateboarding movie and what they did was use the skateboard to make the ident. I also like how they made the actors finish their ident off and slowly zoom out to get a wide shot to get the whole thing. I think that was really cool.
Here a video of their many idents.
21st Century world

This the ident for 21st cent their ident is the most famous one out there. This is because of all the movies that they have done for example west side stories and fantastic mr fox.

Their ident is very glamorous and spectacular. It's almost as if you're getting an award. The font is a big, gold and bold making it seem very special with lights shining everywhere.
Here is a video for the idents
Infographic

I selected everything by pressing command A and i scaled it up to make all the fonts the same sizes.

I scaled everything to the size I wanted and I made the D.B text bit smaller so it can fit in with the 'TO'.

The next thing I did was hit ALT P. This helps me with my positioning and moving my fonts. I put each Key frame 10 frames foward.

The Next thing I did was move it so each one can come one by one. I did this by moving each slider.
CREATING A WANTED POSTER

The first thing I did was change the solid background to dirty brown colour

The next thing I did was add a white solid background where the image will be.

The next thing I did was use this burnt paper as a overlay to give it that wanted effect.

The next thing I did was use the gradient tool to give it that warn out effect to it by blending in some white.

The next thing I did was cut out the image out line so I can put it on.

I also added more text on my poster.
Improvement

My original background was black I then changed it to white because I thought it's better to capture the audience.I also added a falling vector that was black which is another reason why I changed it.

I also added the poster That I made to my after effect. Another thing I did was change the pin I don't think it was good Idea because of how awkward it look. In my oppinion the idea was good but the execution wasnt so i had to change it.

After I added my logo I animated so it can move out of the screen at the end. The way did was: 'ALT P' to move it in to its first position, then I did 'ALT R' to spin it continuously and Finally positioned it out.
I then saved it and took it to Premier pro fix some adjustments and make i better.

This is the sound I download to give some life to the falling vector

I then added the downloaded video and unlinked them from each other. After that I added a keyframe to the sound to make it sound like its gradually fading out as the vector goes off screen.

I also found some 70s themed music to add to my background.
My final Advert

Poster Creation

What I first did was export my logo from Ai to photoshop so i can create my poster.

I added both these picture to my photoshop. The thought process I had in my head was both us looking at each other with engaging looks on our face. To make it seem cool.

The next thing I did was right the "Speak easy" tag. I also enlarged it and curved it to make it look good and hip. I also used the speak easy logo as our background for our poster.

I then added our chopped photos to the picture. I did this by using the pen tool and cut out the background.
I didn't like the original Idea I had so I changed it:
-
I added a thresh-hold as I thought It would look cooler and more mysterious. ( since our main topic is D.B. Cooper)
-
I also changed the font and the way it curved because it fit the "aesthetic" I was going for.

The Next thing I wanted to do was make it look like we were getting controlled my D.B. cooper as puppets. so I found this photo and cut out the hands and mouths
I then decided not to got with it as i thought i was doing too much and it got out of hand.
This is my Final poster

Radio Production
Week 1
This is the first week of our radio show. This was the week were I had miss apart of t due to my punctuality. In this week we had 2 guest, who were Intistar and Damani. They help us with how to use the radio equipment and we just asked them to join as guest. In this week were a bit unprepared as we didn't Know what to talk about because we saved our main topic (D.B. Cooper) for the Christmas special. So, Instead we spoke about every thing we wanted to like anime, Covid, World cup controversy and Andrew Tate.
Week 2
This week spoke about anime and how we enjoyed. It was a bit of a slow start as we couldn't get audition to work so we got the technician to come help us. Once we got everything up and running it was quite enjoyable as we spoke about a subject we was extremely passionate about. This week learnt about how to fix audition by going on "Preference" and "setting".
Week 3
This week we spoke about the world cup as the group stages was coming to an end. In this week radio episode we introduced our first advert that we created for the canteen at our college. This week was much better than last 2 weeks as everything went extremely smoothly.
Week 4
This week we opened our show with the challenges women face in the radio industry, we spoke bout it briefly and gave our opinions. Then we Segue in to the Brittney Griner situation, we also spoke about the economy and the war in Ukraine. And finally end it with "what we would do in a zombie apocalypse. The show went extremely smoothly but, during the show we got too comfortable and forgot we were in a professional setting and slipped up a couple times.
Heading 2
This week was the Christmas special. We specifically spoke about our main topic D.B cooper. I think it went really well, The first part my co-host was running a bit late so i took initiative and started it up myself. The reason why we have two parts is because we run over our time so we decided to the rest the next day.
What went well?
A lot of things went well for example, How each week communicating became more natural on air and thing went smoothly. I like that fact we were able to segue in to other subject extremely smoothly. I also like the fact that we were able to learn from our mistakes each week. Another thing that went well is the research that we did each week to speak on the topic that chose.
Even better if?
I think there is a lot I can learn from this experience. One thing that we can improve on is our time management, me and my partner started to communication skills were horrible. Another thing is the way we handled and or approach the way we should do our radio show. The reason being or main topic was D.B. Cooper and theme was mystery I think the way we approached was wrong and strictly kept it strictly D.B. Cooper, it almost felt like we click baited our audience .
